Burning Mouth Disorder in the Background of Periodontal Disease

Abstract Purpose of Review This review aims to discuss burning mouth disorder (BMD) and its management offers a guide general dental practitioners manage periodontal health in patients with BMD. Recent Findings Dental are well trained diagnosing treating disease; however, when disease coexists BMD, diagnosis these conditions become more complex. Personalised treatment for individual is prudent long-term compliance effectiveness. Summary BMD chronic pain characterised by the absence visible mucosal lesions. It often associated symptoms burning, altered taste, dry no obvious medical or cause. Diagnosis complex influenced multiple factors, which may complicate especially painful disease.
